Individual Counseling
We may pride ourselves on our independence and our ability to navigate the world. Yet, there are times in all of our lives when we seem to hit a wall. That wall can certainly affect us personally or professionally. It is when our problems become insurmountable that counseling can help a person find his/her way out of the maze of emotional pain.
Counseling should be considered by those individuals who feel bad about themselves, engage in self-destructive behaviors, have repeated problems in relationships, or are facing a personal conflict. Sometimes, a person cannot be objective about their own troubles. An empathic and skilled counselor can help the person identify their feelings, needs, and desires.
There are some signs that indicate when an individual should seek a therapist.
- When nothing you do seems to feel rewarding or make you happy
- When you have no one to talk to about your feelings, thoughts, or concerns
- When you have encountered a particular challenge which you are unable to resolve
- When you find yourself engaging in self-destructive behaviors
- When you feel sad, angry, or anxious most of the time
If you have been feeling bad for some time or are experiencing some of the above mentioned problems do not hesitate any longer because counseling can help.
